Daily verse
An optional Bible verse the first time you open Crux each day.
If you want it, Crux shows one verse the first time you open it each day, chosen for encouragement and for practical wisdom about work, money, planning, patience, discipline and contentment. Another verse brings a new one whenever you like, and Verse of the day in the sidebar brings today's back.
Turning it on or off
It is offered as a tick box on the last step of the welcome questions, and it is in the Faith box in Settings at any time. It is off unless you turn it on, and turning it off removes it from the sidebar too.
Which verses does it use?
394 passages, mostly from Proverbs, Psalms and the letters. Your account works through all of them in its own order before any repeats, so a daily reader goes most of a year without seeing the same one twice. The text is the World English Bible, which is in the public domain.
How are the verses chosen?
For encouragement and practical wisdom about work, money, planning, patience, discipline, courage, peace and generosity: the things a trading day brings up. Verses that would read as a promise of profit next to a trading screen are left out on purpose. Crux will not suggest that faithfulness pays out in the market.
Where does the text come from?
Every verse is the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. The text was fetched from bible-api.com when the collection was built, not typed from memory, because a misquoted verse is worse than none.
Want more than one verse a day?
Grow your faith has reading plans, guided studies, devotions for traders and a prayer journal, on every plan. Like the verse, it can be hidden, and nothing about it is ever set against your trading results.
What it looks like
A card with the verse and its reference, before you look at a single trade. For example: “Like a city that is broken down and without walls is a man whose spirit is without restraint.” (Proverbs 25:28, World English Bible.) Close it and your dashboard is exactly as it was.
