Crux™ Help

Grow your faith

Grow your faith is a journal for your Christian life inside Crux, built like the trading journal. You set commitments such as prayer, Bible reading and gratitude, tick them off each day, and see streaks, a calendar and a weekly review. It also has guided studies, reading plans, devotions for traders and a prayer journal, on every plan.

A journal for your faith: commitments, streaks, studies, devotions and prayer.

On every plan, trial included. Plans

Open Grow your faith in the sidebar. It stays open even if your trial ends, so a lapsed plan never takes your prayer journal with it.

A week of faith commitments in Crux: prayer, Bible reading, gratitude and church, ticked day by day across a week. Never set against trading results.
Commitments for a week, as Grow your faith shows them.

Commitments

Choose what you are committing to and how often, under Progress → Commitments: prayer, Bible reading, gratitude and church to start with, and a day of rest, small group, scripture memory, fasting, giving, serving, worship, praying for someone, encouraging someone, faith journaling, a screen-free evening and family time to add. Each is every day or a number of times a week, and you can add your own, such as calling an accountability partner.

Today

Tick what you kept, enter minutes of prayer if you like, write one thing you are thankful for and what God is teaching you. The arrows let you fill in an earlier day. Around it: a word for today (a short message on a passage, the same for everyone that day, with earlier ones a pick away), the verse of the day, a prayer for the trading day, and your next reading, study and devotion.

You rarely need to tick by hand: reading a chapter, a devotion or a study session ticks Bible reading; writing a prayer ticks prayer; writing thanks ticks gratitude; practising a verse ticks scripture memory.

Progress

How much you kept this week, faithful days in a row (every daily commitment kept), days logged and minutes in prayer this month, a calendar coloured by how much of each day you kept, and a streak for each commitment. The current week never counts against you before it is over.

The weekly review sets last week against the week before and names the one commitment to grow in: the one you kept least.

Guided studies

Nine studies of five sessions: Money and the heart, Self-control, Anxiety and trust, Who you are in Christ, The Sermon on the Mount, Rest and Sabbath, Wisdom, Joseph: faithful in every season and Learning to pray. Each session has a passage, some background and three questions (look, think, live). Your answers are saved.

Reading plans

Nineteen plans, a chapter a day. Short ones to start: the Sermon on the Mount (3 days), Philippians, Colossians, Ruth and Jonah (4), James and 1 Peter (5), Ephesians, Galatians and Daniel 1–6 (6), and two sets of ten psalms (for hard days and of praise). Longer ones: Ecclesiastes (12), Nehemiah (13), Mark and Romans (16), John (21), Acts (28) and Proverbs in a month (31). Mark each day as read and Crux keeps your place. Tap a verse number to save that verse to memorize.

Devotions for traders

Twenty-seven short devotions on what the trading day brings up: a losing day, a blown account, a winning streak, breaking your own rules, wanting it back, fear of missing out, greed, fear, quiet sessions, comparing yourself with others, honesty about results, debt, rest, sleep, time with family, giving and more. Each has a passage, a reflection, a question to write about and a prayer. Your answer can be saved straight into your prayer journal.

Prayer journal

Write prayer requests, thanks and reflections. When a prayer is answered, mark it answered and note how; Answered shows them all together to look back on. Entries are private to you and are kept in your journal’s backups.

Memorize

Save verses from anywhere on the screen, or find one by theme. Practise with the first letter of each word, then with nothing, then check yourself, and mark it I know it when you do.

On your dashboard

Add the Faith today card to your trading dashboard to see your commitments for the day next to your numbers.

Can you hide it?

Yes. If it is not for you, untick Show Grow your faith in the menu in the Faith box in Settings. Nothing else in Crux changes.

All scripture is the World English Bible (worldenglish.bible), which is in the public domain. Crux fetches the text from bible-api.com rather than typing it. The messages, studies, reflections and prayers are written by Crux. Your faith journal is never set against your trading results. Verses can only be saved from text Crux already holds, so nothing you memorize can contain a typo.
