How does a trailing drawdown work?

Your account has a floor you must never fall to: the starting balance minus the maximum drawdown. With a trailing drawdown the floor follows your highest balance up, staying the same distance below it, and never comes back down. End-of-day trailing moves it once a day, on the closing balance. Intraday trailing moves it on every new high during the day, open profit included, which is why a winning trade you give back can still cost you room. A static floor never moves at all. Many firms stop trailing once the floor reaches the starting balance; tick the box above if yours does.

How does the consistency rule work?

A consistency rule caps how much of your total profit can come from your single best day. With a 40% rule, a best day of $1,200 means you need at least $3,000 of total profit before you can pass — even if the profit target is lower. The calculator shows that figure, so a big day early on tells you exactly how much more you need.

What does the daily loss limit do?

Some firms also cap how much you can lose in a single day, separately from the drawdown. Breaking it usually fails the evaluation outright or ends the day, depending on the firm. The calculator flags any day at or past the limit.
